Through financial support, our participation in the Educational Improvement Tax Credit program (EITC) and the Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit program (OSTC), and energetic employee volunteerism, we are committed to helping our local communities thrive.
Somerset County School Districts
Tim Resh (Director of Riverview Financial Corporation) and Somerset Region President, Michael Paulman, present three local school districts with a combined total of $12,000 as part of their ongoing participation in the Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Program.
Somerset County Campus Foundation for ACM
Tim Resh (Director of Riverview Financial Corporation) and Somerset Region President, Michael Paulman, presented a check for $4,000 to the staff of the Foundation for ACM to benefit community college education in Somerset County.
Junior Achievement of Western PA
Timothy Resh (Director of Riverview Bank and Riverview Financial Corporation), and Somerset Region President, Michael Paulman, present a check for $10,000 to Jennifer Knepper, Executive Director of Junior Achievement of Western PA. The funds will help provide educational opportunities to schoolchildren of Somerset County. Paulman also serves as a volunteer with the organization, and is the 2017 Annual Capital Campaign Chair.
Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce Young Entrepreneurs Academy
Riverview Bank’s Eastern Region Manager Michelle Lewandowski (R) presented a check to Mary Jo Moss (L) for the bank’s sponsorship of the Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce Young Entrepreneurs Academy.
Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce Walk for Progress
Riverview’s Bank Eastern Region teams came together to participate in the Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce Walk for Progress. The walk, which is held each year in Pottsville, begins the Chamber building and proceeds through the business district, ending at the Ramada where participants are treated to a “Taste of Schuylkill County” featuring food and drink samples from around the county.
Healthy Kids 5k
Employees from Halifax Bank’s Millersburg, Halifax, and Elizabethville branches participated in the October 2nd Healthy Kids 5k event, sponsored by Halifax Bank. Kids who participated received healthy goodies and got to play a game to win prizes!
Schuylkill Haven Borough Day
Michelle Lewandowski, Eastern Region Manager, and Regina Sonon, Cressona Branch Manager, (together with Regina’s daughter, Lylah) welcomed attendees at Schuylkill Haven Borough Day, passing out Riverview tote bags and bottles of water.
Marysville Borough’s 150th Sesquicentennial Celebration
Marysville Bank was the primary sponsor of the Marysville Borough’s 150th Sesquicentennial celebration, which featured several events including a parade and fireworks. Wendy Campbell, Manager of the Ridgeview Branch in Marysville passed out old-fashioned treats at the Community Days celebration.
Marysville Borough’s Sesquicentennial 50's Sock Hop
The entire staff of Marysville Bank’s Ridgeview Branch celebrated Marysville Borough’s Sesquicentennial with a 50’s Sock Hop Soda Shoppe-themed float in the Marysville parade.

Riverview - Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce Annual Golf Tournament
Riverview Bank’s Eastern Region hosted the 12th hole in the Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Golf Tournament at Mountain Valley. Booths at each hole featured fun themes, and Riverview’s was “Retro Vegas.” Each foursome that came through had a chance to win prizes and enter to win a gift basket awarded at dinner that evening. Team members from Pottsville, Cressona, Orwigsburg, and Wyomissing Branches as well as Riverview Wealth Management participated in this fun event.
Riverview Citizen's Neighborhood Bank - Senior Expo
Lorie Hoffman, Berlin Branch Manager, and Michael Paulman, Somerset Region President (far left and far right) of Riverview’s Citizens Neighborhood Division, teamed up with Christine Zanis, Senior Trust Officer, and Tim Walter, President of Riverview Wealth Management to host a booth at Representative Carl Walker Metzgar’s Senior Expo in Somerset. Hundreds of seniors attended the expo and stopped by to try their hands at Plinko and learn more about protecting themselves from financial abuse.
Riverview Halifax Bank - Believe In Blessings
In Riverview’s Halifax Bank division, Elizabethville Branch Manager Tamie Laudenslager (far left) and her team held a clothing drive to benefit Believe in Blessings, a local non-profit clothing resale shop with a mission to help local residents. They delivered 13 bags of gently used items.
Third Annual Halifax Community Fireworks
Employees of Halifax Bank, a division of Riverview Bank, gathered at Fort Halifax Park on Saturday, July 16th, to welcome all our neighbors to the Third Annual Halifax Community Fireworks. The fireworks were sponsored by Halifax Bank. The event, which included food vendors and live music, was a joint effort of the Halifax Fire Department, Halifax Township, and Halifax Borough. Proceeds of a boot drive held that evening benefited Halifax Fire Department.
Meyersdale Relay for Life
Employees of the Citizens Neighborhood Bank (CNB) division of Riverview Bank participated in the Meyersdale Relay for Life to benefit the American Cancer Society. The employees joined up with “Team Invest in a Cure,” led by CNB Advisory Board member Charlotte Clark, which raised $7,875!

Center Avenue, Somerset, PA, houses both our Citizens Neighborhood Bank Regional Loan Office and Riverview Wealth Management regional professional advisory office to provide the best in financing and investment services to customers in Somerset and surrounding areas.

Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit (OSTC) Program
April 2016: Riverview Bank made several recent donations to various community schools through the Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit (OSTC) Program. Louise Jenkins, Pottsville Park Plaza Manager, and Michelle Lewandowski, Eastern Region Manager, presented a donation in the amount of $20,000 to Nativity BVM High School for the Eastern Pennsylvania Scholarship Foundation. The contribution will help Nativity families throughout the Schuylkill County area by providing scholarships to eligible students.
